The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation helps to build character and teach critical life lessons to at-risk young people living in America’s most distressed communities.
ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
The Ripken Foundation is a national nonprofit organization founded in 2001 to honor the legacy and spirit of Cal Ripken, Sr. Everything we do impacts underserved kids and communities using the values Cal, Sr. embodied as a devoted coach and mentor including leadership, teamwork, personal responsibility, and healthy living. We use sports-themed and educational youth programs to teach important life skills to help at-risk youth be successful on the field, in the classroom, and in life. In 2020, we impacted over 1.2 million underserved kids with the help of 361 youth partners and law enforcement agencies in 42 states. In addition, we have 100 Youth Development Parks that provide clean, safe places for kids with all abilities to learn, play, and grow. These parks are symbols of hope in challenging neighborhoods and will serve as home fields for youth development programs for years to come. We would like to thank our Board, corporate partners, donors, and supporters for helping to create positive, transformational change in communities across the country.
