James Carder brings more than 27 years of experience working in corporate IT, cybersecurity and consulting for the Fortune 1000, U.S. Government, public and privately held companies, across all industry verticals with a particular focus on software and service delivery.
At Benevity, James serves as the Chief Information and Security Officer (and Data Protection Officer), with operational responsibility for corporate IT, security, development operations and quality assurance.
Prior to joining Benevity, James served as Chief Information Officer, Chief Security Officer and Data Protection Officer at Eptura (a Thoma Bravo Company), he oversaw the company’s Global Technology Systems and Services group. He also served as a technology focused Operating Advisor for Thoma Bravo, working directly with their portfolio companies in strengthening their information technology and cybersecurity programs.
James is a sought-after and frequent speaker at cybersecurity events and is a noted author of several cybersecurity publications. He is a military veteran (US Air Force). He is also a Strategic Advisor, Advisory Board member for various institutions and organizations and a member of the Forbes Technology Council.
